Job Description:
|
Multimedia (MM) Software Engineer for Image, Video and Vision (MSE-IVV) is responsible for developing and implementing optimized algorithms for Image and vision related applications on embedded platforms.
This includes development and implementation of algorithms like Face detection, Smile detection, Red-eye detection, face recognition, defect pixel processing, camera pipeline processing, High Dynamic Range (HDR) Imaging, 2D to 3D video conversion and other Image and video pre & post processing algorithms.
The development platforms include Smart Phones based on TI OMAP3/OMAP4/ARM-Cortex A8/A9. Additionally, MSE-IVV is responsible for
- Work with system integration teams from integration perspective.
- Ensure all of functionality, performance, and reliability of developed algorithms on Smart Phone Platforms.

Educational Qualifications:
|
- Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Electrical / Electronics and Communications.
|
|
|
- Candidates must have experience in embedded multimedia algorithm development ranging from 2 to 5 years. Of which, significant portion should be in implementing either standards based or proprietary Image and Video codecs/algorithms.
- Must have independently integrated and tested codecs/components into multimedia systems.
- Must have exposure and development experience on DSP/RISC based platforms like TI Davinci / OMAP3, OMAP4 / ARM 11 / Cortex A8/A9.

- Good knowledge of C/C++.
- Good knowledge of DSP based embedded systems.
- Must have exposure to Image and Video codecs and their standards like JPEG, MJPEG, H.264, MPEG4, MPEG2, WMV9, etc.
- Experience in Imaging algorithms, Camera pipeline tuning and vision algorithms would be an added advantage.
- Software Processes, Configuration Management, Test Planning and Execution.
