Engineer in Video Networking Systems (VNS-SE) is responsible for developing audio-video networking, streaming and storage systems, designed on proprietary and industry standard multimedia and application development frameworks such as Android, Linux GStreamer. Target applications are Video Security, In-Transportation Entertainment, Healthcare, Enterprise Content Distribution and Networked Infotainment.

The job profile includes, but not limited to,

1. Development of IPs for recorders, players, servers, clients and combination of two or more functions
2. Integration of codecs and components (like Parsers, Creators, Networking Protocols like RTSP/RTP, HTTP, TS etc.)
3. Development, integration and validation of applications for specific use-cases
4. Analysing SDK and BSPs for suitability for target VNS applications
5. Working with internal teams and customers to understand requirements and technology and develop solutions.
6. Ensuring all of functionality, performance, and reliability of VNS applications on target platforms

The development platforms include, but not limited to, TI DM6467/DM8168/ARM-Cortex A8/A9 and other multi-core processors.

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering.

• Candidates must have experience in embedded multimedia applications and systems development ranging from 2 to 4 years. Of which, significant portion should be in MM frameworks such as Android, Linux-GStreamer, proprietary, Others.
• Must have exposure and development experience on DSP based platforms like TI Davinci / DM6467/DM8168/ARM-Cortex A8/A9

• Good knowledge of C/C++ Programming.
• Good knowledge of DSP based embedded systems
• Knowledge of MM parsers/creators, protocol stacks, post processors is necessary
• Must have exposure to AV codecs and their standards like MP3, AAC, WMA9, H.264, MPEG4, MPEG2, WMV9, etc.
• Software Processes, Configuration Management, Test Planning and Execution.
