VP Business Development

Rohit Bhuva is the Ittiam Vice President for Business Development and Head of Ittiam Subsidiary in the U.S.

He brings in 23 years of industry experience in VLSI, DSP and Strategic Marketing.

Prior to Ittiam, Rohit was a Member of TI's Semiconductor Strategic Marketing Team and was looking after Emerging End Equipment for TI's DSPS . He had previously been elected as a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) in TI, a recognition of excellence representing the top 7% of the company's technical people worldwide.

Rohit Bhuva joined Texas Instruments in 1978 as an IC Design Engineer. He worked in TI's various Design Teams in Memory, Programmable Logic, Microprocessor and Mixed Signal Products. Products developed under Rohit's guidance have generated over $1B+ revenue for TI. During his career inside TI Rohit has been involved in many startup businesses for TI. He was also involved in original TI-SUN SPARC Design team as Technical Liaison between TI and SUN Microsystems teams.

During 1989-93, Rohit was selected for a special assignment from TI U.S to TI India, to set up and lead its Mixed Signal Design Center Operations. During this period, Rohit established a center of excellence in India, recognized not only for its technical capabilities, but also its product development process and people motivation. TI India's Mixed Signal Design Center has grown to independently deliver world class products in the broadband and data converters domain.

During 1993-98, Rohit led the R&D and Business Development of TI's thrust in DLP (Digital Light Processing) and DSP applications in Digital Printing applications. In that role, he directed hardware and software teams of approx. 100 people across multiple continents for Digital Imaging HardCopy Operations. He was responsible for starting up RIP (Raster Image Processing) Business inside TI. The products developed by this team have won EDN and EDN Asia's innovation award in 1999.

During 1999-2000, Rohit was a member of TI's Semiconductor Strategic Marketing team, participating and directing the company's efforts in identifying emerging end equipment for DSP applications and developing proof-of-concept systems to incubate new ideas into established business unitss.

Rohit had been elected as a TI SMTS (Senior Member of Technical Staff) and has 11 patents to his credit. Rohit has a MSEE in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA and B.Eng. Degree in Electronics Engineering from MS University, Baroda, India.
