Sattam Dasgupta Sattam is responsible for DSP applications of Media Streaming and Distribution over Broadband IP networks. He brings in 16 years of industry experience in VLSI, Mixed Signal IC Design and ASIC Product Development. Prior to Ittiam, Sattam was the Manager for ASIC Department in Texas Instruments India, the largest center in the company with 140 engineers. Detailed Profile In 1988, Sattam was a lead engineer of a core team that started a major new activity in TI India - design of Mixed Signal VLSI Circuits - a key diversification from the EDA Software focus of the company. He held various technical and leadership roles in that organization to eventually become its Operation Manager in 1994. Today, TI India Mixed Signal Products Operation is a highly successful R&D center delivering world-class products in Data Converters and Analog Front Ends (AFE) for Data Communication and emerging markets like Digital Still Cameras. In 1996, Sattam was the organizing Committee Chairman for the International VLSI Conference held in Bangalore, India. In 1998, Sattam was selected by top management to head a large new organization in TI India - the ASIC (Application Specific IC) Product Development Center - formed by the integration of two separate existing organizations. TI India ASIC R&D Center had more than 140 engineers developing world class CAD Libraries and Design Tools for TI ASIC customers. Solutions delivered by this team are also key enablers for TI in the Wireless and Networking Markets. Sattam was a member of the TI India Management Team. Sattam has a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Jadavpur University in 1985. Prior to joining TI, he worked as an engineer in TISCO for a year.
