ASIC at Ittiam

Ittiam is a product company. Our products and IPs are delivered in multiple forms depending on customer and system requirements - algorithms, software, reference boards and soft cores.

Synthesizable soft cores are an appropriate solution for algorithms and systems that are computationally intensive and may not be realizable in software on available programmable processors. In many applications, a hardware implementation may have cost and power benefits over a software implementation.

For our soft core developments, we need uniquely talented and experienced ASIC designers. People with the ability to translate an idea or an algorithm to a high performance, compact soft-core.

While most designers start from specifications, we are looking for the few who can develop the specifications itself.

That is not all. Our soft cores are verified in system using prototype reference boards with multiple FPGAs, processors and interfaces.

Needless to say, this needs talent and experience. We expect the following from you:

  • 5-10 year track record of ASIC designs, preferably for signal processing applications
  • Knowledge of signal processing theory and practice
  • Knowledge of Digital Signal Processor Architectures
  • Keen interest and understanding of system level issues cutting across software and hardware
  • FPGA and board design experience is highly desirable

If you have what we believe it takes, then this is the time to drop in your resume.

If you do not have the industry experience but bring in exceptional relevant credential through your Masters or PhD work from world-class universities, send in your resume.

Email in plain text format to talent@ittiam.com with 'ASIC at Ittiam: <your experience in years>' as subject of the email.

Don't blink

If you think ASIC design starts with a specification, you are not the person we are looking for.

If you are given a specification, someone else has already done half of your job.

We need designers who can derive specifications from an algorithm or a system perspective

And then implement it as an ASIC design.

And the design needs be competitive. Compact with high performance.

Otherwise it's not worth much.
