G.722
G.722 is an implementation of ITU-T G.722 standard. The G.722 coder
uses Sub-band Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation (SB-ADPCM) to code wideband
speech at 64, 56, or 48 kbps. The frequency band is split into two sub-bands, and each
sub-band is coded using ADPCM (similar to G.726). The algorithmic delay is 2 samples
Technical Specification
- Supports all the bit rates viz. 48/56/64 kbps at 16 khz sampling rate
- C callable API for initialization, encoding and decoding of speech
data
- Supports Multi-channel capability
- Optimized implementation
- Bit Compliant with ITU-T test vectors
Applications
- Wideband IP telephony (IP Phones)
- Audio/Video Conferencing
Platforms
- Currently supported on TI C64x (TMS320C64xx)and TI C64x+/DaVinci (DM644x)
