Packet Loss Concealment (PLC)

Packet Loss Concealment is used to recover from lost frames/packets in packet based telephony systems. It is used to avoid un-necessary artifacts, glitches caused due to packet loss, so that the speech quality remains within the human tolerable limit. Ittiam's Packet Loss Concealment algorithm is based on ITU-T standard G.711 Appendix I generates synthetic data (noise, silence or speech) depending upon the past speech history.
