The large variety in audio compression formats, delivery techniques and requirements of target devices has increased the demand for transcoding solutions for Broadcasters.

Ittiam's Audio Transcoding subsystem is based on a custom media-engine, tuned for realizing various transcoding use cases. With support for sample-rate conversion, metadata handling and the ability to integrate various encode and decode formats, the subsystem offers significant cost and time-to-market advantage. The subsystem also integrates MPEG2-TS and RTP encapsulation and transmission.
